Just saw Avatar in 3D...
And it's made a billion dollars in 20 days... Not bad for something that's basically a Western where the Indians win:)

I thought it was funny that Pariz HIlton came out and said the movie was a flop.....Billion dollars in 20 days seems pretty good.
I loved it :D It's going to be stunning on bluray.

I saw it and I loved it too. It was my favorite movie in 2009.
Is it just me or did they make a mistake killing the guy who was 'supposed' to marry the princess. I've heard when he sat down to write it he wrote a trilogy and so this is only movie 1. I would have liked seeing that guy's and Jake's dynamic develop had he lived, they should have kept him.
But overall absolutly amazing even if the story was predictable
I loved the movie but found it funny that people are apparently becoming depressed after watching Avatar because Pandora isn't actually real and they can't go there... =S
I read in the local paper on Friday that the jungle seen below Jake and Neytiri when they are flying is actually here, in Cairns. The photos were taken from the Skyrail going up to Kuranda!
Aside from the fact it is a brilliant movie, knowing some of the background is actually local gives me a nice feeling.

Well... I thought it was more impressive the second time around. The 3D was awesome. I also think the worldbuilding in this movie is incomparable. There is not a detail missed, right down to Jake's withered legs...
