Orbit's "To Be Read" pile for August.Behold the August TBR pile from Orbit in the UK. I like the idea of a TBR pile. I'd post mine, only I don't have a wide-angled lens to get all the books in the shot:) That's me*... smack bang in the middle, between Patricia Briggs and Drew Karpyshyn. I'm on top of Russell Kirkpatrick, too. That's going to make an interesting conversation starter next time we get together. And I'll never be able to resist asking what it felt like to have Jaqueline Carey on top of him... hehehe
I love how the colour stands out from all the others. Whoever picked that shade in a genius. *Actually, it's not me, per se... I'm not quite that, well, square...

I've read some of Jaqueline Carey's novels, they're a little racy... Russell might just have a conniption!!!
Haha...a little racy is an understatement. But I love the political intrigue in those books. I haven't read any of Russell Kirkpatrick's books yet. I don't think they were out until recently, at least from what I'd seen.
Haha I do love that shade - will have to look out for it when it comes in stores.
I also must admit that I haven't read Russell's work yet, although I do have Across the Face of the World in my own To Be Read piles - although I have read the maps and glossary :)
What good taste they have. But your book and Russell's book should have been first on the list. :)
