So... how far is too far, when is comes to marketing? This is a question I find myself pondering today. If you watch pay TV in Australia, you'll probably have seen Football Superstar, which is a soccer wannabe version of NTM (Next Top Model with Balls...hehehe) all paid for by Kellogs. But this one takes the cake...
Believe it or not, this creature being touted on news services the world over as proof of bizzare government experiments is actually part of a viral maketing campaign for a comic book. Seriously... You can read the whole story here. I'm not sure what to make of this. Should I be appalled, or looking for someone who can make me a Crasii corpse? :)

Eeewwww...
It is very dead, whatever it is. Gross. I think it might be a rotting dead dog, from the looks of it. Once it was a fairly standard and normal boxer dog, if the anatomy is anything to go by. Look at the tail. It's front legs looked strapped together...was the poor thing tortured? Or was it tied up so it could be drowned without being able to swim? Ugly. If it's special effects...why? They made the start of a griffin and got bored?
I actually agree with the suggestion someone made on the site that it is a sea turtle without it's shell. It would definately explain the beak like mouth.
The fact that it's front legs are tied together is a bit of a concern though.
okay done some more reading and found another site with a different photo taken from the other side of the animal.
(http://www.newsday.com/news/local/suffolk/ny-lijoy0801,0,6258159.column?page=2) It looks more like a dog in the other shot. In the one you have the 'beak' is actaully the bone of the top jaw. But make up your own mind! Thanks for pointing this out! It is interesting!
Jason could make you a Crasii corpse out of playdough ... of course he may also try to eat it. *g*
Came across this post on another blog I visit daily. Thought you might be interested =D :
