The line edit for The Chaos Crystal turned up unexpectedly yesterday with note asking for it back ASAP.

100 pages in and I note the editor has taken a dislike to the work "glanced" and is replacing it with "looked".

It's starting to irk me... but not as much as the editor I had who once decided to remove every contraction (even in the dialogue) from a manuscript.

And one day, I'll tell you the story behind the hideous non-word "wolfhungry".  hehehe

For now, it's back to the grindstone...

It's not all advance cheques and books signings, y'know...LOL
