And now for something completely different...Unless you've been in a coma for the past 30 years, you've probably heard of global warming. You may even be worried about it. If you are, then here's something to keep you awake at night. If you're not, here's something for you to think about... This is the Wilkin's Ice Shelf in Antarctica breaking up. And it's winter down there at the moment, when things should be freezing, not melting... You can read the full story here on the European Space Agency website. If this keeps up, my house in the desert might become a "desirable seaside location" sooner than you think...

I think oil will be the least of our worries in the next 20 years, what happens when we run out of arrable land and fresh water - but no governments still argue and the most poerful country in the world is led by men who think Jesus is coming to save us.
Sounds depressing, at least I won' have to fly to the beach any more :)
I've always agreed with the Cree Indian prophecy:
Only when the last tree has been cut down, Only when the last river has been poisoned, Only when the last fish has been caught, Only then will you realise that money cannot be eaten.
Yikes! I wonder what Fox News would say about this? Probably blame it on those damn penguins...
My brother had that Cree Indian [hilosophy in a framed picture that he hung on his wall when I was younger, I always found it fascinating. Now he's a born again christian. Go Figure.
Live Fast! Go Extinct! But leave a beautiful economy...
Scientists were trying to tell people about global warning for the last thirty years. I was taught it at uni in 1980. Why are governments only listening now? Because it is starting to affect their budgets... *sigh* I live on a hill, in case you are wondering. I always buy houses on hills.
