Don't forget to book in for the World Building Master Classes!Got a very nice email from Qantas this week with my flight details for Supanova Sydney and Perth, which reminded me that I'd better get ready for the World Building Master Classes. The full details for the courses are here and the early-bird tickets are going fast, so if you want to get in at the lower rate, make sure you book in soon. You can sign up at Supanova, but it's more expensive if you wait (to cover the cost of last minute running around to print additional workbooks - minions and colour laser printers don't come cheap, y'know...) So... you can book through Ticketek here. Remember, because this comes with a free weekend pass to Supanova, you have to book that first, and then the workshop option will appear, with a choice between the workshop only, and the workshop with Manuscript assessment. Messy, I know, but such are the vagaries of working a database as complex at Ticketek's.

I wish I didn't live half-way around the globe. Even though I'm a miser, I definitely put out money for that if you had something like that in America.
Be aware that once you get the ticket it doesn't say what time the workshop starts. It only says the times supernova is open. From what I've been able to locate it's 4-8pm.
I am looking forward to it!
Actually, it's more like 4 - 8.30 because we have a half hour break.
And the venue will be announced apparently. http://www.worldbuildingworkshops.com/dates.html
We'll find out the venue when the program comes out and that's ususally only a couple of weeks before the con. Sorry.
I'm with you Sara. Come to the states, Jennifer, and I'll try just about anything to make sure I'm there.
Oh, and FYI - regarding bookstore categorizing. I checked the books on my shelves at home (all massmarket paperbacks). Most (including all of yours, Jennifer, and Trudi's) state the genre at the very top of the spine - Fantasy. I'd guess that's how the stock people here in the US judge what area to put them in, so I wouldn't worry about being showcased incorrectly. I also see you've been previously reviewed by Romantic Times. In fact, quotes are included on the cover of Warlord (didn't get to check the others though).
