I finally sent my Masters Thesis in today. It carries the bizarre title of: Introducing Mr Perky: Subverting the fantasy trope of immortality in contemporary speculative fiction.

Sonny Whitelaw had a better title. She's a real smartypants, so of course, she's already got her degree. Her exegesis is called: The Attraction of Sloppy Nonsense: Resolving Cognitive Estrangement In Stargate Through The Technologising Of Mythology

I started my degree in 2006. I was supposed to finish it in 2006. Oh well.

It's pretty much done, now, except for a couple of references I need to track down (for quotes I used back before I realised I needed to quote effing page numbers as well as all that other stuff when you cite something...). I won't say it's been fun. I think it's on a par with having my wisdom teeth pulled, actually. But I have made some marvellous friends along the way, who will be friends for life. That sort of makes all the pain worthwhile.

So, now all I have to sit back and wait for my supervisor to get back to me, tell me we're right to go, then get it bound and sent off for marking.
