The Unauthorised Biography of Jennifer Fallon

Trudi Canavan emailed me yesterday to let me know that someone is selling a Jennifer Fallon Biography on Amazon. Seriously.

She sent me the link, so naturally I had to look it up. Turns out it's 3 whole pages. And they're charging $9.95USD for it. It's probably lifted off my website or Wikipedia, and I have no idea who put that entry up either.

It's probably all lies. Except the bit about me and Brad Pitt. I'm hoping that rumor will take off and I finally get to meet him. I mean, he'll have to come to court to testify at the hearing for the restraining order, won't he?

In the meantime, this oddity raises a number of interesting questions:

  • Who wrote it?
  • What sort of crazy stalker type person would actually pay money for it
  • What was Trudi doing searching my name on Amazon?

*Cue the music from The Twilight Zone...* hahahaha

I swear it wasn?t me boss? Although, I?ll actually have to chalk that one up on my list of things to do if I ever need funds in short order. If for no other reason than it could be a good blackmail option ;)

You really shouldn?t have invested so much time and training in trying to make me a good little head web minion, boss. *hee*

bleuch! honestly, I should KNOW better than to copy and paste from word. Replace all ? with either ' or ! in the above!

*blinks*

What if they've muddled up Marla's life for yours? How would you get all that into three pages?

Marla Fallon learnt the Rules of Power as a science fiction/fantasy business woman and trainer ...

My bet is your computer did it...it needed cash from paypal type place to feed its habit...thats my theory.

Well, whoever it is comes up with 99,058 references when you do a search on them in Amazon.com. It says Jennifer's (as well as many, many others) is "an article from: Contempory Authors". Digging a bit further I did find "Contemporary Authors, a reference volume published by Thompson Gale." Looks like Gale Reference Team might be breaking apart his book(s) and selling them piecemeal.

There's also "Contemporary Authors (various volumes) by a Susan Trotsky (Editor)"

Anywho, it all sounds a bit odd to me.

I'm preparing to steal your identity.

(oops, did I say type that aloud?)
