National Launch of The Palace of Impossible Dreams

OK... time to let out the big secret! And it's not that POID is coming out today on Dymocks Sci-Fi/Fantasy Bestseller list at #4 after only 2 days in the shops. (Now the big wait is to see if it goes any higher, or tips over into the mainstream lists like the other 2 book in the Tide Lords series have...)

The really big, amazing news is that...

Ta Da!

The Palace of Impossible Dreams is being launched at Supanova by none other than the fabulous John Rhys Davies.

Yup... Gimli's launching my lil ol' book!  Woo Hoo! Can't tell you how thrilled I am about this. The man is an icon, a brilliant actor and by all accounts an all-round nice guy. There aren't words to describe how honoured I am that he agreed to do this.

As for the where and when... all I can tell you at this stage is that it will be during Supanova. on 29-30 March in Melbourne. It will take place in the wrestling ring in the centre of the pavillion (seriously... what better place for a book launch?) but I can't give you a time yet, because they're still working on the program.

Rest assured... I'll let you know the time as soon as I do.

I am now going to go away and practice being cool so my reaction when I get to meet Mr Rhys Davies in Melbourne isn't... "Oh my God! You're Gimli! You're Sallah! You know Peter Jackson and Indianna Jones...squeee!"

that is fabulous, you go girl! i finished POID on the weekend and thought it was great. I have so many more questions than were answered! I now have to go back and and reread them all in sequence to see if i can pick up any clues i might have missed the 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th time i read them! (sigh) the hardship of being a Fallon Fan :)

AWESOME! Best of luck with not squeeing like a fan-girl, though ;) Twould take more strength than I, for one, have!

We to finished it on the weekend and OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How awesome could it have been. Onje questuion though and believe me we hope the answer is yes because this has been the single most exciting event we have been looking forward to since we saw the supanova website....are you (Jennifer Fallon) going to the supanova expo in sydney?.....it would certainly make our day....well...year....lol...we can't wait for the next it has been eating away at our existance ever since we read the last page of you newest book....and there's no much left. I mean checking the book stores sheleves every week to see if they put it on the shelf early, and the deep dissapointment when it wasn't there..until that fateful day when all occupants of the store could hear our squeals of excitment as we raced toward the register with the book, running home (ok driving home) as fast as we could to find a comfy place on the sofa where we wouldn't not be moved for the weekend.....needless to say we were excited...lol....please say yes.

Yes... I will be at the Sydney Supanova:)

Now are you sure you liked the book? Don't be shy now. Tell us how you really feel:)

I love the fact you admit to 'squee'ing when meeting some cool and probably nerdy people.
And I think I know will have to WAIT to buy your 'new' series till all the books are in paperback in the USA or I might have to kill someone...or plan a trip to down under to get them...I will have to think on this...

Jen, a word of advice for preparation of meeting someone squeeable - work out what you would really like to say to them and then repeat it to yourself a million times a day. Then when the moment arrives you'll blurt it out in a rush, and then go all fan-girl, but at least you will have said what you wanted to say.

That's how I coped with meeting Jeff Wayne last September.

Wow. I'd be excited too. Lucky, lucky girl...

we get to see pictures, right?
