Good News Week...

I am having the best week...

The ground floor of the new house is all but unpacked.

I got an email from Bantam this morning, telling me Eye of the Labyrinth has gone to reprint in the US again. (I've actually lost count of the US reprints for the Second Sons series)

The Chaos Crystam (AUS, Paperback)The unofficial review of The Chaos Crystal was awesome.

  • My agent rang with the news the US royalties are due next week and the Aussie dollar is dropping like a stone against the greenback. Sucks if you're planning an overseas holiday. Rather lovely if you're paid in US $$$s:)

And despite my well-documented misgivings about blogging on political subjects* on writers' websites, the website voiceswithoutvotes.org, a site set up by Reuters to follow international reaction to the US presidential election, has quoted my post on Election Language in full and has a link to another blog post on Sarah Palin featured on today's list of "Our Picks from World Blogs".

On the down side...

I have a "fun" thing going on in my life at the moment (and I use the word fun laden with irony and sarcasm) that I might blog about once it's all over and done with.

We will not speak about how much unpacking there is to be done on the second floor of the new house, the state of my office or my broadband connection.

And all this new traffic from Reuters means I have to up the bandwith package with my hosting service. Gonna cost me a fortune.

Oh well...

*Wipes off smirk.*

Actually, I have good reason not to smirk today - my #@%$ broadband connection is offline. Sigh.

thank heavens for the good things. *g* I discovered that, with enough wine, I 'can' play guitar, broken finger or no.

(this is possibly going to hurt tommorow)
