Release date updates...

Been meaning to do this for a while. Here are (to the best of my knowledge) the upcoming release dates worldwide for various books, series and whatever....

Please don't blame me if they turn out to be wrong. I am often the last to be told about these things, which accounts for all the "To Be Advised" listings, which basically means we've done the deal but it's anybody's guess when they'll be out because of stuff like translations and publishing schedules and alien abductions, over which I have no control.

Found the "Warrior" paperback at Barnes & Noble yesterday (Sunday), 2 days in advance of the release date! Yippie! Started reading it last night. So for anyone still waiting, run right out and check your local stores, they, too, just might have it out on the shelves early.

"Warlord" paperback - Jan 2009??? *whimpers* patience, patience... We in the USA are SOOO far behind. *hangs head and sighs* I do so wish I could afford hardcovers (I'd go broke with all I read (2-3 per week)). Then I'd be able to read them so much earlier. And the local library isn't any help either with what they carry in sci-fi/fantasy (small town in Vermont, USA, limited funding for current books).

I really don't know why you just don't order them from Australia, I'm sure there are book stores over here that would send them overseas. Turn up for the books since normally us Aussies have to order books from overseas as they aren't released here.

I'm not waiting for the paperbacks! Only the hardcovers of Jenny's books for me. Except for the Second Sons Trilogy. I don't think they were released in hardcover over here.

It's hard to order Australian published books over here before they're published in the U.S., because I couldn't find an Australian branch to Amazon. So I looked for online book stores in Australia and I found the books I was looking for. But they seemed to be charging a lot of money for just paperbacks. It would only cost a little bit more money to wait for the hardcover here, but it'll take too long! So I'm in a dilemma: wait for Immortal Prince to come out in hardcover here, or pay a lot of money for an AU paperback. Decisions...

There are no hardcover editions of the Second Sons Trilogy. Random House, rather than Tor, purchased that series and decided to go straight to paperback.

The best bet for purchasing books in Australia is through www.galaxybooks.com.au. The guys at Galaxy are great, and I can assure you, they are reliable. As for the cost, don't know what the postage is to the US, but a paperback in Australia is still around $21, which at the current exchange rate is about $18 USD I think.

Thanks! I don't know if I checked Galaxy Books.
I should probably just buy both US and AU editions. I'm sure that'll make you happy. :)

What? Not the German, Russian and French editions too?

I use the Australian online book store to send me books in the US and the shipping isnt to much and its worth it so I dont have to wait years, only months.

Welcome, Jules (aka Jenny's new best friend) LOL
