More favourite lines
Just for fun, here's some more completely out-of-context lines from Palace of Impossible Dreams to whet your appetite, but which will, in fact, do nothing more than confuse you...hehehe
Declan Hawkes, about to interrogate yet another character (Hmm, he seems to be doing that a lot) Like all slaves in Senestra, Declan's guide wore only short loin cloth, which did nothing but draw attention to the fact that he was probably as strong as an ox and the only way to get any information out of him was by asking nicely. Prince Mathu discovering they've made a bit of an ooops...“Are you sure he's not dead? Tides, Jaxyn, we gave him a state funeral.” Tiji the Chameleon Crasii...Warily, Tiji let him lead her out into the gathering darkness that was filled with the sound of singing insects, thinking the delights she had never experienced before—the ones she was looking forward to, at least—had not, even in her wildest dreams, involved swallowing live insects whole. God, I love my job:)
