They will sing about this around campfires. They will compose odes about it, write operas, make a movie, and then a sequel, and a threequel (which will, of coure, be complete and utter crap). They will write songs, they will name ships after me, cyclone, hurricanes and maybe even babies.

Well, I'll tell you...

You see, yesterday, I finally connected my 7 speaker sound system to the DVD and the plasma TV. I (with the help of a friend with skinny arms who could get her hand through the back of the entertainment unit) wired up the pay TV, the free-to-air, the digital stations and the DVD through the amplifier. I have perfect pictures and stereo surround sound on all of it. It is awesome.

And it worked first time we tried it.

It is true. I am legend. :)

Any advice on how to get myself on broadband - besides buying a new house???

I am truly in awe, beyond words... Although I have a sneaking suspicion that most women (if they try hard enough) can achieve this, it is just the men in our lives who have this irresistable urge to *fiddle* and can't leave the bloody cables alone *takes deep breath, counts to ten, releases*.

My sparky hubby, is able to leave the cables alone. In fact he lives up to the name of 'legend' quite frequently.

Though I must say... He's not a legend to me at the moment. I'm still waiting for him to hook up the dvd/vcr to the tv...

It must just be mine then, he keeps buying cables (to the point where we have a large plastic crate filled with just black cables), but we still don't have the 'perfect' system. Unfortunately, my 6 year old son is following in Daddy's footsteps as he is physically incapable of walking past a cable without unplugging or switching something on/off.

Sorry, that was a little bit of a rant there...going off to take a pill now *grin*.
