The saga of Dakota's kittens...
I have a friend who lives in Tennant Creek, who owns a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who has a penchant for finding litters of stray kittens and bringing them home to play with.
Dakaota (that's the cat-adopting Staffy) recently brought home a litter of kittens so young their eyes weren't even open. Dakota's owner (my soft and sentimental little friend) immediately decided she would hand raise the kittens and bottle feed them 8 times a day, etc, etc... So, what has this got to do with me, you ask? Well, Dakota's mum came down to Alice on holidays and asked if she could bring the kittens. Of course, I said. I too have my soft and sentiental moments. So my friend arrives to stay for a few days on her way to Melbourne. We coo and gush and hand feed the Ooops... So... the moral of the story is, when someone says can I come visit with the kittens for a few days?, what they really mean is, can I come visit with two kittens that need 4 hourly feeds, which I will then leave with you while I go have a high old time on my holiday? I will forgive her, however. Not just because I know this was just a lack of communication, but mostly because her boyfriend is a tiler and he's laying my tiles next week in the other house. To err is human. To forgive means discount tiling services:)

oh dear. *g*
What I want to know has Dace discovered the kittens yet? I wonder how long it would take him to train them into his killer bodugurards for when he takes over the world?
Yes, Dace discovered them. And immediately wanted to keep them. So we said yes, and made him feed, toilet and bathe the kittens every 4 hours, and then told him he'd have to do that for another 6 weeks if he wanted to keep the kittens.
He gave them back:)
All puppies and kittens are absolutely adorable... Until you realise just how much work is involved in raising them...
And I would have forgiven her too... Especially if it meant discount tiling : )
